Year in Overview: 2009

The end is near. Of the year, I mean. It was the year when this blog evolved from a poor-in-all-aspects place to the unpolished diamond it is now. From now on, it means to polish it~

The Key Moments of We Love Maids

So, what exactly happened? Besides that Eugen watched more than 50 series, of course. I think there are a few key moments:

If said brief, excluding all episodics, reviews, and everything else nobody cares about, this is it. I am thankful to our loyal readers, my co-authors, everybody who did a guest post for us for everything you have done — we wouldn’t reach the point we are at without your motivation.

Personally

Speaking personally and apparently forgetting that I spoke in third-person about myself in the above text, this year was one of the best of my life thus far. I have improved my English from a collection of words in random order to a level (so other people say at least) indistinguishable from a native speaker, with a more or less unique way of writing, speaking, and blogging. Another wonderful happening of this year is more private, and I don’t want to talk about it to wider masses. I can just say that a beautiful feeling filled up my chest, not to compare to anything before in my whole life. But at the same time it’s so frail I’m afraid to breathe at it. I just hope that everything will work out and do my best for it.

As for the future

In the future, I will leave this place to Llora and Ammy more and more often. To Aizen too if he finds what to blog about. It’s not me giving up or not having time — it’s that I became less interested in blogging. I will set up a portfolio page and become a hireable webdesigner instead. I’m not sure if I want to become a webdesigner at the end, but while I’m still going to school it’s a nice income that isn’t unfun to do at that. Main thing when hiring me is, set a deadline. Otherwise I’ll slack off. I learned that from my own experience.

Also I will still be responsible for administrating this place.

If you want to publish your original post here, to attract attention to your main blog for example, you still have to contact me. Allowed themes are everything from the aniblogopshere and from the webdesign-o-sphere.

This as a sidenote.

Concluding

And in else, yes, this was a good year. I hope that the next one will be even better with the fruits of this one turning into healthy trees.

I wish a happy new year to everyone, and to one especially. May the luck and the happiness be with you.

Random

Ah, and the most visited and bookmarked post for this year is the product of my accidential ingeniosity and too much free time (back then): Hierarchy Of A Forum. (As of 30th December, it was visited ~12k times and bookmarked by ~125 people on StumbleUpon)

Your pedentry skills are amazing. You shall be praisen as the god of pedantry, but financing the building of your temple is on your part. Corrected.

What’s quick here? The blog as it is now may be just a year old, but the site and it’s concept, as well as my active online presence are present for over 3 years already.

And Twitter has nothing to do with it.

And I’m not giving up the design-o-sphere.

Happy New Year to you too! >_<
