Xam’d: Lost Memories first impressions
There’s nothing better a good anime serie. Lucky one who found Xam’d: Lost Memories for himself.
Magnificent storyboard and fluid animation, flavoured with a good portion of interesting music done their job. I devoured all currently aired 13 episodes at once.
Very fluid animation, and very good look up from Nausicaä. An A+, guys!
It’s an enthralling adventure, acting about a boy named Akiyuki, who was turned into a Xam’d, a strange humonoid creature. To avoid turning into a stone he must leave his home and his family and go with a mysterious girl from a post ship.
A Xam’d itself
Another humanform creature
There are many difficult intrigues, with the military, with the parents, and with the girl Haru, who’s in love with Akiyuki.
Haru is very beautiful drawn.

You can imagine many paralleles with Miyazaki’s films like Nausicaä and Laputa, sometimes I feel also Howl’s Moving Castle. The creaters must love Miyazaki’s work.
Don’t you feel deja vu with Laputa: The Castle in the Sky?
I first heared about Xam’d on Furu Anime Panikku blog, later I encountered against mentions on other blogs, and made a decision to give it a try.
