The most talked about anime of the season, without doubts and with Google Reader evidence, is To Aru Kagaku no Railgun. And I finally finished To Aru Majutsu no Index, so I can join the circle.
Why did I watch Index? People were telling you don’t need to do it to get into Railgun, you say. I reply, those people telling that have watched Index. So I didn’t bother believing, and it seems like I did the right thing. First of all, I liked Index: especially Misaka, Mikoto, Touma himself, and the Accelerator + Misaka-Misaka arc. Second, if the first season wouldn’t have explained the espers and their powers, I would take those in Railgun for cheap and standard sci-fi elements known as superhero powers from American comics. Perhaps they indeed are, but because the first season explained them and prepared me, I’m sort of accustomed to them. Third, I think I wouldn’t like to have missed more Mikoto.
In short, now I indeed can enjoy Railgun, although the feeling doesn’t leave me, that a wonderful girl will go to waste in yuri. I’d have wished Mikoto x Touma x Index, rather than Mikoto x Kuroko, although I can’t say I don’t like Kuroko and the blatant lesbian elements in their relationship.

I’m so outdated, I don’t even know what outdated means.
