[June 25 : Day 2] Manipulation of Memories

I was only able to watch Kaiba today but I’m happy that Kaiba was the anime I spent my time on. Many things are beginning to be pieced together in today’s episodes.

So Kaiba loses his hippo body to a food processor which I really didn’t mind because it was easier to look at Chroniko than that hippo. But even then, he soon lost Chroniko’s body. Thanks to our sheriff Vanila, Kaiba was able to return back to his original body. Which, I have been wondering if it has been right to be calling Kaiba by Kaiba and not Warp. They keep calling him that so maybe it’s more correct to say Warp… I’ll continue to call him Kaiba for the sake of clarity… although, for some reason, a plant shares his name. There’s apparently more than one Warp and the Kaiba we know is just a copy of the real one.

I actually started to feel bad for the sheriff.… I know he’s pretty corrupt but seeing him do all those things for Chroniko (Kaiba) really makes him a good person at heart. Waiting for Chroniko with ice cream in the rain for hours made him get a fever! Even still, he was kind to Chroniko. That was the start of me wondering if I should change my view about him. He even began to get in trouble for being associated with Chroniko for whatever reason. He still protected Chroniko with all his might to the point where his licence was revoked and he lost all his rights and also sacrificed his life to save her. What made things worse was that his love was one-sided. I haven’t really decided if I like him or not… I know that I definitely don’t hate him.

As the picture at the very top displays, Kaiba was in Chroniko’s body and Neiro was in fact for a time in Gel’s body. This isn’t known at first. The very first thing you do find out is that Gel is in fact a woman. Because of Gel’s body type, it was troublesome to pee so Kaiba actually had to help Gel out XD I found that extremely hilarious!

I liked Popo before but these episodes I saw (5−9) changed my mind about him. We see that he’s manipulated Neiro’s mind and had his face replace Kaiba in all of her good memories of him. This causes Neiro to believe that the one she loves is Popo and not Kaiba. But the bad memories of Kaiba were left like when he destroyed her. Anyways,  I stopped liking Popo. That Issoudan he was a part of was like a dangerous nonconformist cult. The 3 leaders of the cult, each named Dada, turned out to be an incomplete Warp that had the ancient technology within their grasp. With all the technology they had they had things go their way. Cheki tries to get Neiro to remember her real memories but to no avail. Popo is really deceiving. Especially when Neiro finally sees Kaiba again.

Warp is actually living in heaven and his function is to be the king of this world. Popo manages to contact him for a meeting between him and the Dadas. But as soon as that Warp comes for the meeting he instantly gets destroyed. He’s dead. At least our Kaiba is in good hands. Kichi gets Kaiba back into his original body yet, soon after he meets up with Neiro, he is killed by her own hands.

Definitely excited to see what happens in the end of this series!

Watched: 9 episodes out of 12
