I’m sure there are tons of Anime which start out great but ended horribly and as a result changed your view of that Anime completely. So be warned, spoilers are everywhere here.
Aizen’s Top 5 Shit Endings:
#1, School Days
School Days. Makoto didn’t deserve to die; he could have become a sex celebrity. This was the number 1 crappiest Anime I’ve ever seen after watching the ending. I admired that asshole Makoto. He got all the vags he ever wanted and always wanted more. He was like Krauser but a little more retarded. Plus the fact that I liked Sekai way more than that bitch Kotonoha. Killing the two was like chopping off a man’s wiener off. And that is NOT cool. Which in School Days Kotonoha might have actually did that to Sekai. She’s a slut, you know?
#2, Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora
Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora. Kyoshiro is a fucking pedophile. Well, lets step back a bit: What the fuck even HAPPENED to Kyoshiro? In the past, he was a calm and asshole-ish guy. Near the end he started turning into a pussy who kept was too soft. That was one thing I didn’t like about this series. Another thing, Kuu dying away? Well, why? Sure she might have used a bit too much energy and blah blah blah but she didn’t deserve to die. That bloody air head was what made me keep on watching the show.
Now, what really pissed me off in this show was that after Kuu died (or disappeared), Kyoshiro went on his prince quest of finding her. I felt really… weird by this. Why? Because Kuu seems to have a history with love affairs, don’t you think? First, Kuu was in love with Kyoshiro’s brother. Next she went to Kyoshiro. And then back to Kyoshiro’s brother. Then back to Kyoshiro. If you don’t find that scandalous, then screw you. But I digress, Kyoshiro diligently searched for Kuu. When he did, how old was Kuu? Who knows, but one thing is clear: She was a child and Kyoshiro was probably over 25 years old. Don’t you think pedophilia ravages the eyes of Kyoshiro? I think it does. And pedophilia is bad.
#3, Elfen Lied
Elfen Lied — It made me furious to need to read the Manga to know she was still alive. Here’s the thing about a good Anime to me: Don’t make the ending make you think. And this one made me think. Was the person behind it Lucy or not? That question ravaged my mind for days until I knew the answer to that. It was a very obvious question but I never liked assuming as that makes an ass out of people, so I didn’t. I mean, they NEVER showed real visuals of Lucy dying. So that confused me.
Code Geass did something similar, but the thing there was that Lelouch being dead was very obvious: Lelouch was actually stabbed and he actually was shown dead. The fact that hundreds of thousands (or millions) of people thought he was alive just because of what C.C. said, “Eh, Lelouch?” That was not proof at all that he was alive because anyone can talk to themselves. I’m sure that even you, the reader, have spoke to themselves before.
#4, Eden of the East
Eden of the East was like a hill to me — it began crappy, became entertaining, then ended crappy. Really, the ending felt extremely rushed and as a result, wasn’t as good as it might have been. In fact, the ending felt too convenient and really corny. I NEVER like endings like that. Anime which weren’t convenient and instead was logically ordered are good Anime. This wasn’t one of them. I’m not saying the ending didn’t make sense — it pasted together with the beginning really well. What made it crappy was that it was just too goddamned convenient and tried to make things seem like it was sad and important. Trying to make something seem like something whilst having the other characters take in that bullcrap is not good. Fuck Eden of the East.
#5, Fruits Basket
The fact is, I don’t remember much of Fruits Basket. I literally only skimmed most of the episodes since I felt like I saw those small parts already. Once I saw something I didn’t recall, I watched it. So in the end, I only sat down and watched the last 6 episodes of Fruits Basket. Only the ending really registered in my brain. I liked the Manga’s ending compared to the Anime’s ending of Fruits Basket. Why? Because it felt real. This was one of those rushed endings which really wasn’t satisfying at all. It was an ending tantamount to that of Eden of the East’s ending. It felt so superficial I just had to smack my head on my table before everything registered in my head. I mean seriously, Akito is not that goddamn forgiving. Akito, in one instance with Tohru, because a pussy. And I can’t recall the whole thing, but was it even ever revealed that Akito was really a women? I don’t think so. It just made Akito out as a rhetoric person who was easily persuaded by Tohru’s words.
So you know what? Fuck Tohru and fuck Akito (from the Anime).
Ammy’s:
Mamotte! Lollipop:

“I should be totally stupid and eat this to make the plot go on!”
What can I say? The first few episodes were not bad. They weren’t that good either. As the series went on, it just became cliche and predictable. Suddenly, main-girl-character-who-name-escapes-me-because-I-cared-for-her-so-little faces a crisis. That’s right. She likes both of the male leads. Oh the drama. While the series leads you to believe that she is starting to like Zero more, we approach our climax. She can finally get that stupid pearl out and help Zero and Ichii. However, they want to stay together as a threesome. She does what we expected her to do and gets the pearl out, thinking about their happiness. Pearl comes out and tries to destroy everyone. Now everyone (even some of their frenemies) pitches in to save the day. When asked by her friends who was she going to pick as her love, she smiles and says “I don’t know yet, but that’s okay! Because I’m happy!”
Seriously, what the heck? If the ending was a little better, maybe I would have liked this series more. But the ending is crap.
If there was anything else to Mamotte! Lollipop, would I watch it? No.
Tona-Gura!:

Kids… what are you going to do with them?
We have childhood friends. In love. Oh dear. Our problem here is… he’s a pervert. She hates that he’s a pervert. Kazuki does not remember the little kid Yuuji being a pervert and wants him to go back to what he was like before. After a lot of love-hate stuff, Kazuki forces Yuuji to stop being a pervert. He does so and she is oh so ever happy without a bit of remorse. She continues to be happy until her sister shows her an album of them as kids. Turns out… he was a pervert all along! But she liked him anyway. Finally feeling guilty, she goes to find him. He’s being shipped off to live with his dad! Dramatic airport scene here we come! Before he leaves for good, she shouts:
“IT’S ALLOWED! YOU CAN BE A PERVERT!”
Yuuji is a estatic and starts trying to do perverted things to her. He then says that he and his sister will stay. When his sister asks “What about Dad?” he shrugs and says “We’ll tell him later!” Happily ever after!
… I cannot express my feelings towards this ending.
If there was anything else to Tona-Gura, would I watch it? Hm… maybe. Just an OVA though.
Samurai Champloo:

Great series with a bad end?
I would go on and summarize this series up till the end like the previous ones, but I actually don’t remember much of the story. All that I can remember about it was awesome battles, Fuu has no boobs, chopsticks being stabbed into someone’s hand, and a crap ending. Not the ideal impression a series should leave behind. I remember watching this on adult swim till I finished the whole series. When it came to the end, I was just like “That’s it?!” The fact that it ended with them on crossroads was just bleh to me. It was basically:
“So this is goodbye?“
“Yup.“
“Okay. Bye!“
“Bye!“
…
If there was anything else to Samurai Champloo, would I watch it? Yes. I want a better ending. I want an OVA or movie or something.
Zero no Tsukaima: Princess no Rondo:

“Why the heck is this season purely fanservice?”
After all the wonderful end to season season, we got a third one. Completely forgetting how much Louise and Saito’s relationship progressed and how they are married, we get lots of fan service, lots of jealousy, lots of fights, and a ‘meh’ ending. The ending feels too over-used for this series. Louise getting jealous and trying to blow Saito’s head off is not an ending I’d prefer.
If there was anything else to Zero no Tsukaima, would I watch it? Yes. I would. I do like Louise and Saito’s relationship, but I dislike how it was during this season.
Gargron’s:
To be honest, since I have always tried to watch only crème de la crème series, there are just a few I’d call CRAP-ending. And well, there’s this factor that I have watched not many series in general, aka I am a noob. Nevertheless:
Xam’d of the Lost Memories

I thought we’d get all secrets and facts revealed in the last episode, but like hell, no. And not only that, the last episode offered so many unbelievable things, that it indeed destroyed the whole impressions of the series. It’s absolutely unclear how Akiyuki got out of the stone, and why ‘now’ and not some other time; How Nakiami thinks she’s going to sleep for 1000 years, and how the hell Yango thinks he’s going to wait the whole time (I mean, 1000 years, his bones will become aches, and still, he repeats that ‘he’s going to wait’!). 26 goddamn weeks of wasted time, the only thing I’d say was worth it was the soundtrack.
Soul Eater

Excuse me my French, but the ending was real bull merde, somewhere around the Xam’d’s. Maka told something about courage to the demon god and thus he let her win? I’m sorry, but courage and some DFC do not bring victories over the Evil, no. But well, we at least have had some Blair…
Llora-chan’s:
Alien Nine
The ending made me regret searching so hard to find this. Okay, we’re talking about endings so you ARE going to hear spoilers~ Alien Nine: a story of 3 girls who have to protect their school from aliens who come time to time to attack. The 3 girls are Kumi, Yuri, and Kasumi. Kumi was my favorite because she was cool. I did not like Yuri because she was a whiny girl, and I didn’t like Kasumi because… her head was not screwed on right.
There are a total of 4 episodes. The 1st 2 were okay, I didn’t hate it or love it. I’m pretty sure it was the 3rd ep where Kasumi goes to some big ugly alien and wants to play with it, but gets eaten instead. (It’s been a long time since I’ve seen this so what happens on each episode is very vague.) I thought, “Kasumi is so stupid. Why are you going to play with an alien that’s 50 times as big as you? You’re obviously are going to get eaten!” Things happen and now~ we’re on the last episode. More things happen and Kasumi completely turned over to the dark side because of some cookies and then she goes and kills Kumi. That’s how the last minute ends. Yes, Kumi is dead. And even though Yuri isn’t around she somehow knows that Kumi is dead… so she’s crying. That’s it. Horrible ending~~
Going back to my very 1st sentence~ It took me forever to find this series. I can’t even remember where I found it. Why did I want to watch this so much? …Because at that time, I was kinda sorta new to anime (not really but it was around when my actual anime life started) and my most favorite seiyuu was Aya Hisakawa. She was the reason I wanted to watch it.
If there was ever to be anything else of Alien Nine, would I watch it? Only if Bones or Production I.G. took that project. Shaft might be good cause it’ll probably make it’s horror actual horror… But I might probably not want to see it then. >_< So only Bones or Production I.G.
Screenshots were taken from ALIEN NINE — Unofficial Website. Btw, if you scroll down to where you see “News: Yellow Knife disguised as a duck” you’ll see the white alien that ate Kasumi.
Ergo Proxy
The ending didn’t clear up anything at all. I was hoping to understand everything by the time the last ep came around… but I didn’t. Maybe it was because I gave up around ep 20 on figuring stuff out that when the ending came I just didn’t care anymore. Too complex.
I gotta say that this series is amazing, but I hate it because of all that complexity. And yeah, I don’t have much to say…
If there was ever to be anything else of Ergo Proxy, would I watch it? Only if it came out as OVAs~ I would definitely not want to waste another 12–13 hours~

Whut, no Mai Hime?
Xam’d was falling apart long before the ending. The entire second half of the season was pretty dull.
Disagree with Elfen Lied, Champloo and Eden. Especially Champloo, can you honestly think of a better ending than that? Mugen and Jin became friends (aka, they didn’t want to kill each other) Fuu had her ending and it had kick-ass fights. Nothing to dislike there

I disagree, Xam’d was OK until, perhaps, the very last few episodes.
Eden’s end was indeed too fast, I agree with Aizen, but the anime overall was very good.
I was expecting more about soul eater but it ended up crap. The flow of the story was going smoothly ranging from action packed to full of comic reliefs. I was saying that This will be one of the epic animes that people will watch and probably one of the hall of famers like naruto+bleach+onepiece. Or something like Square enix always make a masterpiece. But the ending ruined my expectations.
I agree with Samurai Champloo just because I was pissed that there was buildup around Jin/Fuu, nicely wrapped up with a knight in shining armor moment when he saved her. And then nothing.

Animes hated for the ending… I couldn’t think of any.
Guess there exist something like an AB-anime type person. /obscure pun
I love Ergo Proxy’s ending. The humans think that the planet is theirs for the retaking but there is going to be hell to pay.
It’s true that Ergo Proxy was complex but still it’s my favourite series. If you wanna understand wath’s going on, you have to have a good memory or just keep notes xD All my questions were answered in the final episode but I had to watch some episodes for a second time. And that’s something I NEVER do…

Eden of the East isn’t actually finished yet; the anime series’s ending was to prepare for the two movies coming out that /will/ end the series.
Ugh.….I really wish Lelouch didn’t die, but I guess it couldn’t be helped…
And my friend pisses me off ‘cuz he hated Lelouch…nah!!! I pissing myself off!!!
(I get this way when I talk about anime and stuff…I get carried away)
how dare you say elfen lied sucked because of the ending. i liked the anime better then the manga. it was a more pleasent ending. elfen still is the best anime ever in my opinion.
There is 2 other ending to School Days! There is one were Makoto dies and the other were Kotonoha dies (my favorite ending because i also hated Kotonoha)!!
You can find different ending on youtube
Dude, why do you hate Kotonoha? She’s like, the best girl there. She only became so fucked up cause of Makoto and Sekai. Honestly, Kotonoha’s my favorite character. I hate Sekai a bit now, and Makoto’s just an asshole.
I just watched school days episode 1 then I skip to episode 12 .what on earth this story is all about .i don’t like this ending .
Raven´s last [type] post: Otome Yokai Zakuro — Episode 8 — Fickle Rain
Dude. I agreed with you about the fruits basket. Sometime in the manga are way of better, but then they changed every single thing in the anime and that makes me sometime hate the anime version. =.=
Actually in the end of Alien Nine anime, it isn’t shown who/what kills Kumi in the library for some reason. I suppose they had planned some follow-up series. But in the manga it shows that some new type of alien killed Kumi. She is then regenerated using alien technology but this leads to side effects that makes her less human which she has to come to terms with. It’s unfortunate the anime ended so abruptly compared to the manga.
Fuck you Eden of the East and Samurai Champloo ended nicely. You probably have never watch the movies for Eden. It’s a great anime BITCH.
i was looking for such easy task from a long time it will help me in increasing my knowledge. thanks a lot.http://www.simbolodamusica.com
I agree with you on most of them except Samurai Champloo and Elfen Lied. The reason I was satisfied with SC’s ending was because if you remember correctly earlier in the series, they had experienced a similar event where they all took off in different directions, but ultimately ended back up together. Which makes me believe that their paths will cross again someday, since “no matter how hard they try, fate just keeps sticking them back together” And that’s how life is. There isn’t always this ‘Happily Ever After’ where they decide to settle down. Fuu might have since she achieved her goal, but Mugen and Jin are wandering Samurai…I can hardly picture either of them settling until they die. And personally, I kinda dont want to know how they die, since the majority of Samurai back then died rather young. As for Elfen Lied’s story, I was fairly confident that that was Lucy in the end…it didn’t really leave me guessing.
in the eden of the east who else hated the ending and think that eden should of stayed with saki? because i did maybe im just weird but the ending made me pissed off and made me cry and the ending to nana series pissed me off nana { hatchi ) should of met takizawa pay for child support and end up with nobou. or i wish nana would of gotten an obortion. in my opinion. nana and nobou were a cute couple and he really cares and loved hatchi,
Re: Zero no tsukaima, PnR
Personally, I didn’t really like that season either compared to the earlier two (and especially to the final one), but for one thing, they weren’t married, and the ending wasn’t so ‘meh’, their relationship did develop. As for the fan service, yes it was present and I pretty much could’ve done without it too.
