Granting Wishes [10]

What Could Have Been

Dear Diary,

Our plan has successfully gotten Yui off the show.

Kanade and I devised a plan for me to have one-on-one time with Yui. Yui revealed to me she was paralyzed before death and didn’t get to do much except watch TV. I promise to grant her wishes, and I find out that she wants to do pro-wrestling, soccer, and baseball. Oh this will be fun.

A thousands slams into the ground later, Yui mastered a pro-wrestling move she wanted to do. Next up was soccer. I convinced the guys easily to play soccer with a fake letter from Tenshi. Kanade and I made sure Yui won the soccer game. Next was baseball, episode 4/diary entry 4 much?

Yui can’t hit a home run after all of our training. Don’t worry, she doesn’t need to hit a home run anymore because she got to work out her body. There’s just one thing: she wants to get married. She asks if I would marry her, and awkward moment ensues. Luckily, Hinata comes out of nowhere and says he’d marry her! Hinata and Yui? Well, they pick on each other, but when did they ever show feelings that could relate to them liking each other? Is something happening off-screen I’m not aware of? Or he could be bluffing and saying all that stuff just to make her go away. I’ll just go with the “off-screen” romance instead.

Wait, Yuri just told me there’s a shadowy figure afoot. Seriously? What do we have to deal with now?

Thoughts

So Yui no longer Tastes Like Diabetes. She was like Fuko and Makoto for me, as I strongly disliked them at first liked them towards their end. I like how they explained why Yui is so upbeat and…Yui now. It was a sweet end for her character, and I enjoyed watching it, along with the comedic antics leading up to it. Knowing she loves the fact she can move her body now, I would have expected her to participate is more of the fights in the series. She didn’t even do anything in the whole “Let’s Save Kanade!” episode.

Yui and Hinata? Okay, I kind of see it, but it still felt out of the blue. I don’t recall anytime Hinata or Yui seemed to show feelings to one another other than their little arguments. Sure, some couples fight all the time, but you can tell they like each other in a crush way at least. For Yui and Hinata, I saw nothing but friendship. There’s always a chance Hinata was just saying that to help her move on, but he’s not that kind of guy.

And Yui wants to get married? Out of the blue as well. Next thing we know is that Yui’s a fox. I definitely got Makoto vibes from her last scene. Looks like no more GirlDeMo songs. Darn.

Okay, what’s with the shadow thing? Are we going something like Mai’s route? Is this our final Big Bad? Why aren’t we sticking to helping the others move on? I guess it would be too difficult to have everyone move on given the amount of episodes we have left.

Oh my god, TK can speak Japanese? Who knew? Noda can read? Who knew? Guess we have to wait next week to learn more stuff.

Hinata X Yui was pretty apparent for me, esp for Yui, since she seemed to single him out a lot of the time… they have nice chemistry XD

I’d be upset if that was the case. Enough with Kanade being the villain.

The Colorless seems to be working now. Try again :)

Actually, I kinda thought that it was apparent that they liked each other from their squabbles and stuff…
    Culture gap maybe?

I thought the confession was great. I wouldn’t have wanted to see Yui leave any other way :)
