Google Wave Giveaway

The title rhymes and I’ve finally got my invitation credits from Google Wave. Now I can invite people to the beta test of this really magnificent web application I slowly find my way into. What I’ve seen on webdesign blogs I follow but haven’t seen on any aniblog are such giveaway posts, asking people on Twitter instead, even though a giveaway post would be very useful to any blogger. Having told it on Twitter, Mefloraine supposed:

Anibloggers are nicer? Or don’t think ahead as much?

For one I’m for both. They are nicer and they don’t think ahead. On the other hand, having a limited amount of invitations available, if one has more friends or people who ask to add them than they can invite, it can seem unfair to the ones left out who was picked at last. What I do right now is in this case more of a fair thing.

Namely, I go after the genes of my merchant grand-grandfather and create a win:win situation. You leave a comment here (using the e-mail address the invitation should be sent to) and a random generator script chooses 8 of you as winners. You get an invitation then.

I don’t hinder you on also subscribing to our RSS feed, promoting our articles on various social networks and that like, although that isn’t the required criteria and won’t influence the random generator.

Actually I didn’t mean to comment instead of somebody, but OK, I will count that in.

LEVEL-UP! I remember similar stuff with gmail, although, they can’t quite give out as many invites. Of course, when the thing get’s federated it won’t matter where anyone has an account google or elsewhere… that’s their plan, that’s the future.… but I’ve ranted enough about federation.

Google Wave… yes, I wanted to try it out and see what the fuss is all about. It sounds to me like the new “Twitter”; only more integrated.

So badly hope that I can get the invite! ^^

      >_> No. Not the new Twitter, it was labeled as the new “e-mail” and last time I checked e-mail > Twitter. So it’s quite a big thing, and I hope you get an invite :)
