CANAAN — 09

The Reunion

The Reunion

Why all the Yunyun violence? (By the way, the reason my screencaps have that red border is because I used Snipping Tool on Vista to take these ones instead)

Summary:

01The episode starts out with Yunyun, well, being Yunyun. She pretends to not know the group, but ends up tagging along on their way to the village.

Meanwhile, Alphard hears that Liang Qi is going tot he village as well. She tells Cummings to kill Liang Qi.

While this is happening, Liang Qi is going through the crazies once more.

"Myself plus Onee-sama is..." Never gonna happen

“Myself plus nee-sama is…” Never gonna happen

Back to the gang, because Yunyun doesn’t have the medicine, she is going to die soon. She tells them that she decided to see the village one last time before she passes away. Maria gets upset that Yunyun is just accepting the fact she’ll die without fighting it. Canaan and Maria tell Yunyun that they don’t want her to die. The conversation is put to a halt when a Unbloom comes and starts shooting at them.

Time for head exploding!

Time for head exploding!

They are about to shoot him down, but Hakko (using her head exploding voice) yells telling them not to kill him.He ends up dying. Mino has Maria take a picture of the corpse, and they continue to the village.

Santana then explains more about the village. He used to be in the CIA. The CIA had spread the UA virus into the village as an experiment. Once Santana realized what was going on, he left the CIA and met Natsume. He also explains that Unblooms were the failed subjects that could not become Borners.

Things are interrupted when McCrazy (aka Liang Qi) comes and tries to kill Canaan. Alphard comes soon afterwords to kill Liang Qi. However, Cummings holds a gun to Alphard’s head, threatening to kill her if she kills Liang Qi. Then:

*bang*

*bang*

Fail

Fail

Turns out Alphard switched his gun with a BB gun. Alphard takes out her gun and threatens to kill him. Giving him a chance to say his last words, he says:

LOVE!

LOVE!

Alphard then shoots!

*bang*

*bang*

Cherry Cherry Boom Boom

Cherry Cherry Boom Boom

Another BB gun. Alphard decides to let Cummings and Liang Qi live.

A bit close, don't 'cha think?

After Liang Qi flies away, Alphard finds Canaan under rubble. Canaan has a surprised expression when she sees Alphard. It then clicks to her that Canaan can’t see colors anymore. They start talking about Siam (okay, I’m a bit confused on his name. First time he appeared, the subs said his name was Shan, now in this episode they call him Sian, and wikipedia says Siam! Until someone clears this up to me, I’m going to call him Dude).

Canaan’s ability then activates once more and she can see the colors again. She is surprised that Alphard has the same color as Dude, light brown. Canaan loses consciousness and Alphard drags her out of the rubble. The others come and see Alphard with Canaan. Santana wants to shoot her, but Alphard explains she’s going to the Factory to destroy everything, so they should let her go. Alphard also tells Maria to tell Canaan something when she wakes up: Canaan’s true name is Despair.

Thoughts:

Interesting episode. We finally learn more about the village and what Santana did. I’m also wondering the whole Despair thing. Alphard’s actions bring up more questions though. It’s also a bit strange that she has the same color as Dude (ew~ she’s dirty then). What’s with all the love as well? Remember the president’s motto? PEACE AND LOVE!

lol, I could’ve sworn that Alphard was gonna bury Cummings, but I guess he lives to shoot BBs for another day. Hearing Liang Qi go nuts was enjoyable as well. She’s quickly become one of my favorite batshit insane characters.

Yes, she is pretty entertaining with her crazies. Almost as entertaining as Higurashi girls

I think Alphard used a BB because shooting a real bullet inside a moving aircraft is almost always a bad idea, especially Cummings is standing right in front where the pilots are sitting.

Liang Qi is now completely deranged. I wonder if she’ll try to force herself on to Alphard now…

Naaah, she’ll try to kill Canaan, because she is what captivates Alphard’s attention so much. Liang sees Canyaan as a rival, so… extermination! IN THE NAME OF LOVE, lalala…
